Jamie Clarke designs typefaces and lettering for film, television, publishing and brands. Work that ends up on screen, on shelves and in the hands of audiences around the world. Clients go to him when a project needs something an off-the-shelf font can’t deliver: a title treatment that fits the story, a logotype drawn with genuine craft, a typeface with a specific tone of voice. Recent work includes a custom font for Aardman’s Wallace & Gromit, title design for the Rivals TV series, and book covers for Penguin Random House and the Folio Society.

Jamie has been a designer for nearly three decades, first co-founding a creative agency in London working with Microsoft, British Airways and The Guardian, then studying type at the University of Reading, one of the world’s leading type design programmes. He's based near Bristol, UK, and works with clients worldwide. He's also Chairman of Letter Exchange — the UK’s leading society for lettering and type.

Jamie was nominated for membership by by Becky Chilcott and seconded by Elizabeth Fraser.
